Owner and president Steven Abruzzo has been providing excellence in custom kitchen design and remodeling services for over twenty years. Originally located in Elmwood Park, Abruzzo Kitchens' new Schaumburg showroom is a stunning showcase of outstanding kitchens and other interior spaces. Steve and his creative staff have earned the respect of Chicagoland's top architects, designers and homebuilders. He attributes the company success to his personal philosophy - to carefully address every detail while bringing artistry and beauty to your home.

Susan Trojanek, NCIDQ Cert. #014192
Unique and Innovative, Susan brings a special style to the Abruzzo team. Her interior design background, combined with extensive experience in kitchen design, allows her to offer clients a balance of beauty and function with personable - and personal - service. Susan believes the key to creating a successful kitchen is to listen carefully, understand the client's lifestyle, and interpret their dreams.

Active for 12 years in the design industry, Susan holds a degree from the Harrington Institute of Interior design. In 1997, she achieved certification from the National Council of Interior Design Qualification, which qualifies designers for state licensing. Susan is the recipient of the NKBA's 2001 Award for Residential Kitchens. Her work has been seen in the Chicago Tribune, the Daily Herald, Kitchen and Bath Business and Kitchens by Professional designers. Her work has also been featured in several area showcase homes.

Maureen O'Neill
Maureen's design philosophy is based on providing creative, functional solutions tailored to meet the client's specific needs. Maureen believes that great design is in the details, and enjoys seeing projects evolve from initial design concept through completion. Maureen's work has been recognized with a regional design award and been published in both national and local publications.

Educated at the Harrington Institute of Interior Design, Maureen combines her background in furniture design and interior design to add beauty and style to your working kitchen. Her continuing education in kitchen and bath design includes top ranking in the Wood-Mode Advanced Design Program and Neff factory training.

James R. Dase, CMKBD
Jim Dase, Abruzzo Kitchens' senior designer, is an award-winning Certified Kitchen and Certified Bath Designer, an accreditation given by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. He has over twenty years of industry experience, including space planning, interior design, and creative kitchen and bath design. Jim's work focuses on function and aesthetics, and takes the style of the client's home under consideration for architecturally-appropriate design. His philosophy is to educate and enlighten his clients as he leads them through the design process. The Abruzzo Kitchens showroom may be your best clue as to his talent -- Jim was chief designer of this outstanding new showroom.
